LACA is the center of the area's art scene, offering monthly exhibits, classes/workshops and live music. The art center is also home to a number of creative groups. LACA's gift shop features creative items from an array of local and Michigan artists. LACA hosts the West Shore Art Fair annually in July.

Dave has been playing guitar since 1994 and teaching since 1999. He has performed with bands of various genres, at wedding services, and in various projects at West Shore Community College. Dave has also written and recorded music for the American Music Awards eight different years. He has been called a “patient, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic instructor” by his students, and teaches at Instrumental Music & Sound in Ludington.
A nonprofit organization, the Pentwater Arts Council co-hosts the annual Blooming Art Garden Walk & Art Auction with the Garden Club of Pentwater. It also co-hosts the 4th Friday Night Gallery Strolls with local merchants.
